The Brief
Create a multi-discipline action sports festival within the grounds of Bolesworth Castle, expanding the Arenacross experience into a full outdoor festival environment combining elite sport, live entertainment, music, lifestyle experiences and attractions for the whole family.
The Challenge
Translate the intensity and structure of a controlled indoor arena format into a large-scale outdoor environment while maintaining the technical demands of elite-level sport and delivering an engaging live experience for a broad public audience. The event needed to balance high-level racing, freestyle performance, live music, hospitality, retail, fairground attractions and audience flow across a large open-site festival setting.
Our Role
ASL delivered full venue design, staging and technical production across the festival site, leading everything from live show production and sporting operations through to marketing, content creation and audience experience. Our role included managing the sporting element and H&S delivery, integrating multiple disciplines including Arenacross, SuperEnduro and freestyle motocross, while also producing wider entertainment programming including live music, DJs, hospitality, retail and family attractions.
Delivery
The final delivery transformed Bolesworth Castle into a fully integrated action sports festival environment combining racing, freestyle performance, music and lifestyle entertainment across one cohesive live site. Purpose-built tracks, staging and audience infrastructure supported continuous programming throughout the weekend, while hospitality, camping, retail and entertainment zones created a broader festival experience beyond the sport itself. The result was a multi-layered live event capable of engaging both core motorsport audiences and wider family festival crowds within one connected environment.
